Nurse practitioners (NPs) are advanced practice registered nurses. NPs are trained to assess patient needs, order and interpret diagnostic and laboratory tests, diagnose disease, formulate and prescribe medications and treatment plans.

Family Medicine Residency is a medical training program that focuses on preparing physicians to provide comprehensive, continuous, and coordinated care to individuals and families across their lifespans. It is a 2-year post-medical school program that provides hands-on experience and clinical training in a variety of healthcare settings, including primary care clinics, hospitals, nursing homes, and community health centre.
